Book Clubs
Book Clubs have been popular with our group. We now have one in the daytime and one in the evening. The members agree on most of the books in advance so that we have a list for most of the year. The books we choose can be found in paperback or can be reserved at the library. Many times we have a readers guide to help us with the discussion of the book. We also bring some of our books for a "book swap" at the end of the meeting. After the meeting we enjoy coffee and goodies and a lot of talk.
Our daytime book club is held the last Monday of every month (except holidays) from 10 am to Noon.
Our evening book club is held on the second Tuesday of the month at a member's home.

Brunch at Home
Every other month one of our members hosts a brunch at her home. Everyone who attends contributes to the meal with a dish which may consist of a salad, main dish, or dessert. These are always very popular and well attended and the food is wonderful. We get a chance to socialize and even get a few new recipes
Casual Gourmet
Fun is had by all on the 3rd Saturday of the month, when each participant brings a different course to round out a complete dinner at a member's home.
Coffee/Tea Social and Outreach
At various times of the year the Club hosts a casual event where prospective members can talk to existing members over coffee or tea and learn more about us.
Ladies Golf
In season, golfers at all levels are welcome to play every Tuesday at 2:30pm at Holly Ridge Golf Course. Drinks and laughs usually follow.
Ladies Who Lunch
Every other month a lunch is scheduled at a different restaurant followed by another activity such as shopping, sightseeing, a walk on a beach or a boat ride.
Mah-Jongg
Mah-Jongg is played every Tues. at 2PM to 5:30 PM at the Ridge Club Clubhouse. Players at all levels are welcome. There is an evening game on Wednesdays that alternates with cards for anyone who is interested in playing at this time.
Men's Bridge
This event is held at a member's home every 2nd and 4th Tuesday of the month.
We're in Stitches
This group meets once each month at the home's of Newcomers. Any craft may be brought or you can just have fun socializing. The group is open to new members at any time.
Wine Socials and Parties
This is by far the most popular social activity for couples and singles alike. A member will offer his/her home to us for a night of wine, food, and a lot of fun. Each person attending pays $7.50 for the cost of the wine and soft drinks which are purchased by the hosts once they know how many members will be attending. We all bring either an hors d'ouerve or dessert, depending on what the hosts request. This is a wonderful way to relax and get to meet some new people or just spend time with old friends. Additional parties such as a Halloween party are also enjoyed.
